It’s not uncommon to find a plaintiff in a pending lawsuit that is in serious debt. A lawsuit can take a large financial toll on a plaintiff; especially if the pending lawsuit is related to an injury or accident. Mergers, acquisitions and spin-offs are part of the corporate restructuring strategy in which big and small companies indulge in today’s corporate world. These are also called consolidation activities. Companies pursue consolidation activities to strengthen their strategic and competitive positioning.
